First & Second Grade
Morah Nurit Carry teaches 1st and 2nd grade. She was born and raised in Eretz Yisrael. At the age of 18 she joined the Israel Defense Force and served in the Israeli Air Force as a member of two-person team that developed enhancements for F-15 fighter/bomber canopies and wings and blueprints changes. She won the IDF-Air Force competition to reconfigure the interior of IAF AWACS planes. Morah Nurit attended Hagalil Hamaaravi College, Acre, and received a Diploma in Architectural Engineering. After emigrating to the U.S. she attended Baruch College where she received her Computer/Mainframe Programming Certificate. She taught computers in Beis Chaya Mushka in Crown Heights grades 1st -12th for 5 years, she moved to Texas and taught Pre-1A in Torah Day School in Huston for one year. Morah Nurit has a B.A. in psychology and education from Touro College and is currently completing her Masters in special education. She joined Shulamit after teaching 1st and 3rd grade for the past two years in Barkai Yeshiva. As a certified computer programmer, she uses the SMART board to enhance her lessons. Morah Nurit teaches the Tal Am curriculum in first grade and the ITal Am program in second grade. The ITal Am is an Internet-based program based on the Tal AM curriculum. The ITal Am program uses a “blended learning” model, which draws on the Tal Am Hebrew literacy and Jewish Heritage program.
